Here is a demo from 1998 recorded at Nada recording studio in New Windsor, NY. This was a track that was supposed to be included on our debut full length for Doghouse Records, but ended up not making the cut. Weird hearing it after all these years, but worth sharing for those who may be interested. Roll it!
It’s been several years, but we have decided to get together and make some music again. In 2006 (or thereabouts), we got together to record a few songs which were supposed to be part of an impending LP. As is usually the case with this bunch, the progress sort of stopped there. A couple of the tracks were semi finished and posted on myspace for a couple of weeks, but beyond that there was really no activity to speak of. One day I (Dan) woke up and decided that I would really like to see us build on those tracks and actually record a legitimate record, not just throw together a bunch of songs that were laying around that the band didn’t stand behind 100%. From there, writing began, then some conversation, then some demos. Then miraculously several months later, we were standing together at Magpie Cage recording studio in Baltimore with one of our heroes behind the console (J Robbins), tracking new songs for our first proper record in almost a decade. The album is now about 3/4′s of the way to the finish line and has far exceeded all of our expectations. We are so excited to bring you the record, entitled Choices, early in 2011. The first song that we finished is called oh my dear and will open the album. We plan to stream that song from this blog on Monday, November 8th. Hopefully this new material will reach some people… and who knows what will happen from there.
